Checklist — before November 1
The 12 items to check off before serious cold sets in.
- 1Get the battery tested (free)
- 2Check coolant level (50/50 minimum)
- 3Install winter tires
- 4Check tire tread depth (> 4.8 mm)
- 5Replace washer fluid with -40°C formula
- 6Replace wipers if they streak
- 7Change the cabin air filter
- 8Inspect brakes (pads + rotors)
- 9Verify heating and defrost are working
